The Royal George is an attractive country pub, situated in Saddleworth. Offering a friendly and warm welcome on each visit, our dog friendly pub is the ideal place to rest your legs after a wander round Greenfield. On the menu you will find delicious seasonal dishes and a range of quality cask ales like our Manchester Pale Ale. We recently had an exciting new refurbishment, there has never been a better time to visit this perfect country pub.
NEW DISHES

There’s something new on the menu this autumn, and it’s worth popping in for. Brand new comfort food dishes have joined the line-up, each one a proper plateful.
Fancy something a bit special? Try our Grilled fillet of seabass & garlic prawns, with sautéed potatoes, buttered greens and parsley cream. Or go cosy with our Slow braised minted lamb Henry, all bubble & squeak, honey glazed root veg and gravy. Looking for something lighter? Our Nourish bowl has you covered, packed with rice, edamame beans, broccoli, avocado and pink pickled onions in a honey & soy dressing.
And then there’s Sunday. Our Sunday Carvery comes with all the trimmings, your choice of roast beef or Chef’s roast of the day with seasonal vegetables, potatoes, bottomless gravy and unlimited Yorkshire puddings, 18.45.
Great value never goes out of fashion either. Our Cosy menu is back, two courses for 16.95 or three for 19.95, served Monday to Friday from 2pm, and our Pub Lunch menu is served Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 5pm, for something lighter.

Pub Lunch
Lunch, sorted. Pick two mains for 21.95, or go for a hot sandwich or a classic sarnie with skinny fries and coleslaw from 9.95. Served Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 5pm.
Cosy Menu
Settle in with something comforting. Two or three courses, from Bubble & squeak potato cake to Wexford chicken and Sticky toffee pudding. Served Monday to Friday from 2pm.
Chippy Tuesday
Enjoy a large fish and chips and a free drink every chippy Tuesday.
WINE WEDNESDAY
Halfway through the week is always a good time to enjoy a special treat (plus a little extra in your glass from us). Every Wine Wednesday when you order two large glasses of wine, we’ll give you the rest of the bottle on the house. It’s a perfect way to elevate that midweek get together with great company and hot food, all in the welcoming atmosphere of our family friendly pub.
